Partnership With Parents

Settling In

Our settling in sessions are free and as all children are individuals, our settling in procedure is flexible and can be adapted to the needs of your child,  to ensure that they are happy and comfortable to be left in the nursery.

Key Person

Each child is assigned a key person who will work in partnership with you and will record your  child’s interests, achievements and development in a Tapestry Learning Journal online, to which you are encouraged to contribute with news and activities your child does at home.

Parents Meetings

We hold parents' evenings throughout the year to discuss your child’s progress and also informal parent  meetings, termly, where ideas can be shared and issues discussed.

Transition to school

We work in partnership with our primary school, sharing expertise and story time sessions with the Foundation Class in the summer term. Before starting school the children have a week of taster sessions, which help to make transition to school easier.

Community Partnerships

We support village events throughout the year which includes community lunches and coffee mornings at High Halden War Memorial Hall and community fundraising events.
